A good intention or not, all actions have a consequence. Furthermore, no matter what he does, nothing can redeem him from his past or the dreadful crimes he had committed.

QUESTION 1.
How old is this guy, what's his birthday and when did he die?
He was born on the 13th of June in 1444. He died on the 17th of April in 1483. He has been at the age of 39 ever since as the undead do not age.

How did he die?
He was hanged for killing the King, a deed he did not commit. He was framed for the act and has been searching for revenge ever since his death for the bastard that did it.

The Bitter TruthTo the world, he was the strong leader of the battling conflicts in the Underworld. He never let up. He was always there for those that needed it most, for those who were humiliated and pushed around due to their lack of humanity. He could control the Council in ways that no other person could. He created fear to the higher ministers with his immense skill of martial arts, impressive intelligence and strong judgement of what was right. Everyone knew his name, the whole world knew, but who he really was, it was always a mystery.

Ever since that big, unspeakable time, Alyss and Ring were only able to communicate through means of verbal abuse. It didn't even matter what they were fighting about, the point was they were at it again.

Same old routine: a snide remark before noon, and before anyone could stop it their voices screech and boom throughout the whole place. And it was a big place. The others had learnt to keep to themselves; interrupting the row would only make matters worse.

The tall but unnamed man listened to the Authority, his face etched with worry and curiosity. Most didn't trust him, and it was a good reason no one did: he just came back from the mortal world where he had raged war upon the hundreds of people possibly responsible for his death. The aftermath of the night drifted into the day and Larra had nothing but the terror filled inside her, hiding it away underneath the strong exterior she had always managed to maintain. She had woken abruptly, finding the unconscious Englishman still on the ground with a swollen eye. She left him and entered his room, taking all of his belongings and shoving them into his only suitcase, leaving the booze and powders alone.

He wasn't going to stay. Not after what happened last night, not after that. She could only tolerate so much, but an attempted sexual assault crossed the line.

Quinn: Whores and Demons 1Think of the ocean, a calm ocean. Think of the shore, and the soft sand in between your toes. Let the salt water slowly wash over you. Imagine the sound of gulls in the distance, the wind slapping across your face, the –

"Quinn! Get yeh ass out 'ere!"

I opened one eye, glancing up irritably. Could I not get a break? I wanted to meditate.

"Coming!" I yelled out before sighing, standing up from my cross-legged position. I stretched my arms above my head, feeling a strong burning sensation where my heart was. I winced, gasping slightly as I waited for the pain to ease.

Quinn: Whores and Demons 2I blinked. The light was blinding… God, close the blinds… It's way too early to be awake… I'm tired… Need to sleep…

"Buh," I wrenched my eyes open, "Close the damn blinds," I groaned. Mum again, probably. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, but as my eyes adjusted to the bright light I realised that the blinds weren't open and I wasn't in my bed.

I was in the middle of a forest.

"Augh!" I cried out in alarm, noticing a fifty-foot drop from the hammock I had been sleeping on. Okay, relax. Maybe I was having some crazy dream that I was sleeping in the middle of the Goddamned forest and I was really still at home, and Quinn: Whores and Demons 2

Quinn: Whores and Demons 3I was going to do it. I was finally going to do it.

I was going to escape.

You'd think it'd be easy to escape from a God damned forest, but it was never that easy. After fourteen years of it, I knew how hard it really was to. The first reason was that I was mentally forced to obey Octavius' every order, and he had already given me the order not to ever run away.

But six years of training had also given me enough experience to break that bond. I had been spending the last year picking away at my mind, breaking it apart to find those strings that forced me to do obey him, and finally, I had found the right string and had torn it out.

Alyss - The Masquerade 1"Aren't you a beautiful thing?" his voice purred into my ear. I didn't understand. I looked down and saw his hand sliding up my thigh very slowly and I shivered. This didn't seem right. But he continued and I felt his lips brush against the side of my neck. My eyes widened but I was too scared to do anything.

Sometimes I saw mummy and daddy doing this. But that was before daddy had an 'affair', which I wasn't clear of the meaning yet, and they began sleeping in separate rooms. But daddy left.

So what was happening to me?

"I don't know. I wish I did, but only time will tell. Until then, we can only wait."

A pause, "She looks cold."

"Maybe she is."

Another pause, "Ring, what happened to her?"

"Well," the man, apparently named Ring, sighed, "I think she would prefer it if I weren't to tell."

"Is it bad?"

"Yes. It was."

Again, another pause. Maybe he was bad at conversations. I couldn't be sure. Maybe these voices were all in my head, anyway. I couldn't see their faces. What could I see? Nothing. The darkness. A slightly pinkish hue in a sea of black, small speckled dots. I supposed my eyes were closed.

I told him four times already that if he screwed with ol' Maudie again he'd be in big shits, and what happened, he screwed with her, and got fifteen whips. Anyway, kid deserved it, that cocky bastard. He always thought he was better than me, could get away with anything he wanted, 'cause he was a head taller than everyone else in the orphanage.

Me on the other hand? I was just me. Small, a bit on the weak side, but at least unlike all the other foot-lickers here I had some brains, 'cause I wasn't the one screwing with Maudie an' gettin' myself whipped every day.

"What if someone comes in...?" she asked softly, taking short breaths from her own pleasure.

I smiled and trailed my tongue along her leg, along her calf, her knee, up her thigh, slowly pushing her skirt above her hips as my tongue neared her groin. She gasped shortly, her heart beating against her chest quickly. I put one finger in the waistband of her panties, slowly pulling them down, teasing her...

I met her twelve years ago, when I was only fifteen. It was only a brief time that we were together. She was concerned for me when I passed her in the dark streets in a slum of a black community. She took me to an old block of flats that had been deserted a while ago and asked me what was wrong, and that was when I fell in love with her. Because she cared and that was all I needed.

And because I'm typical, I instantly got down dirty with her. And she didn't complain.

The Sideshow: Act 1 - PrologueWind.

Have you ever observed the wind? No, I am not asking if you have experienced it. I am asking if you have felt it. You must have done, I am sure. Did you ever watch it and observe how it flitted through the streets. It pushed things around, rearranged things.

Would you call it chaos? Or is it simply a new order in which the land has been rearranged? It doesn't matter what way you look at it, however. It's probably grey.

It is wind. Wind pushes things along, and that is the only point I am trying to convey to you. But what is it pushing along?

Paper. Lots of paper that fly through the air. I can see it from where I am hiding. I am watThe Sideshow: Act 1 - Prologue

Act 1 - chpt. 1In my opinion, I believe that a story can begin anywhere you like. Begin in the middle if you want, but you still will work out the start and finish at an end. Starting at an end however is more difficult, because you have to tell the story backwards without giving out too many spoilers on what is going to happen in the end.

I decided to begin about a quarter of the way through. Reason for this is because I don't know the beginning. There never was one, it was always a 'getting to the middle'. Don't you hate that? But then again, I could just admit I would be asking personal questions that are rude to ask simply to know the beginning.

So heAct 1 - chpt. 1

Act 1 - Chpt. 2"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, welcome. I, your host, The Ringmaster, welcomes you into the show. But I am sure you must be wondering, what is the show? Have you got a clue? A circus? Not quite. Why are you here? A good time? That might have been your intention. The true question, however? This is a question and which I want you to have a good think about. It is something that audiences are quite forgetting. Who is enjoying themselves? Who here, is having the enjoyment? Will you, the audience be enjoying yourselves? I cannot answer that, because everyone is different. We are having a great time, but will you?"

The audience was taken aback. Act 1 - Chpt. 2

Act 1 - Chpt. 3He wasn't moving. I could gather that was not a good sign. I mean, even for a dead person, however odd that sounds.

Cautiously, I approached him, and prodded him with the tip of my shoe. He did not stir. He was facedown, which made it impossible for me to say if he had any severe wounds, or if he was simply drugged. His dark red, frayed coat was opened out and some of the contents of his many pockets within the inside of it had fallen out. I kneeled down on the ground and picked up a few vials that had dropped out, and more importantly, a thin cell phone.

I shoved the vials back in the closest pocket in his coat, and then stared at the cellAct 1 - Chpt. 3

Act 1 - Chpt. 4Eyes. Open. Darkness. To sleep again.

Awake. Waiting for no reason. Can't sleep.

Asleep. Fitfully, restlessly. Am I really sleeping?

Alert. Feeling like shit. Midnight alcohol for the muddy brain. Maybe two more. Asleep again.

Eyes. Open. Light. Morning. Sweet, crisp and fresh. Morning.

I pulled myself out of bed, stretching my muscles from their cramped stupor. Moving the muscles in the morning always felt good, crisp, fresh. I eyed myself in my own full length mirror, skinny, too skinny, too white. Hair messy, tangled, bed-ridden. Eyes sunken, sleepless.

Each night proved to be harder than the first. Each sleep was more fitful than thAct 1 - Chpt. 4

Act 1 - Chpt. 5My head was spinning. No, I thought bitterly as I wrenched my eyes open, the ground was spinning. Okay, wait for the sensation to pass. Gather your coordination, your balance, wait. But the sensation wasn't passing. I was feeling even dizzier, the ground and the trees and sky were swapping places, what was happening?

Are you okay?

Do I look it?

Miss, do you need a glass of water?

Oh leave me alone already.

"Do you have amnesia?"

I jolted and sat upright, staring into the face of a small little girl, eight-years-old at most. Her bright blue eyes were wide and wondering, staring straight back. My vision began to falter again and I droppedAct 1 - Chpt. 5

Act 1 - Chpt. 6I learnt that the mother's name was Janie. She was a sweet and helpful person, and more importantly, didn't fuss or ask questions. She had thick brown hair with curly locks, only shoulder-height, which made her hair look even thicker than it should've been.

Michael was broad-shouldered and although was only a few inches taller than myself, was the tallest in the family. He had short and cropped black hair, and a plaited rat's tail at the back, something he always seemed to fiddle with whenever he was impatient, bored or angry, so he was playing with it for most of the night.

To be honest, it was horrendously annoying. He never left the thinAct 1 - Chpt. 6

XD I'll see, but it won't be any time soon.

Well, yeah, you're dead properly then. If the heart or brain have been damaged then you're going to die. Without both of those, an undead can't live. So falling in lava, then your whole body is on fire... death.
